We are a Code for America Brigade

Code for America is a national nonprofit that believes government can work for the people, by the people, in the 21st century. We organize a network of people who build technology to further local governments’ priorities of creating healthy, prosperous, and safe communities.

Code for Hampton Roads is Code for America Brigade which means that we are a local, volunteer branch of Code for America that brings together community members to help make government work better for everyone. There are over 70 other brigades across America representing a national alliance of community organizers, developers, and designers that are putting technology to work in service of our local communities.
